Why is the temple divided into the Outer Court, Inner Court, and the Holy of Holies? Perhaps this is somewhat of an explanation. God likes the number three! It is a number of perfect completion!
THE PROPHET ISAIAH
Here we see an interesting passage of Scripture. The LORD is speaking:
“Come near unto me, hear this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, has sent me. Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD your God who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way that you should go.” Isaiah 48:16-17 (NKJV)
Here, the LORD says to come near. And then He says that the LORD GOD and His Spirit has sent ME. That is three! The “ME” is Messiah!
You believe in YHVH and the Ruach HaKodesh. That’s two manifestations. Now believe in Yeshua Ha Mashiach, the Messiah who suffered and died for you!
But didn’t God say He is ONE? He is ONE but appears in His manifestations as THREE as explained in The Light and the Life. When YHVH comes to earth, it is as Christ! Christians don’t believe in three Gods. They believe God manifests in three: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In the first sentence of the Scripture, Elohim created. It is “Elohim”, not the singular “El.” So we see that from the beginning, Elohim, in the plural form, hinted of His being as three-fold, as we also see in nature, which He created. We, being “in the image of God” are also triune beings having a spirit, soul, and body. (Also see Genesis 3:22.)
HIS CREATION
PEOPLE TRIUNE: spirit, soul, and body
UNIVERSE TRIUNE: time, space, and matter
TIME TRIUNE: past, present, and future
SPACE TRIUNE: length, width, and height
MATTER TRIUNE: liquid, solid, and gas
LIGHT TRIUNE: wave, particle, and something unknown (The Life & the Light)
PRIMARY COLORS TRIUNE: magenta, yellow, and greenish-blue (Subtractive) (Light in Light)
PRIMARY COLORS TRIUNE: red, yellow, and green (Additive) (Light in Light)
MUSIC TRIUNE: melody, harmony, and rhythm
CHORDS TRIUNE: tonic, subdominant, and dominant
FIRE TRIANGLE: oxygen, heat, & fuel which lead to combustion (4th element).
IN SCRIPTURE
THREE PATRIARCHS: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
THREE DAYS/THREE NIGHTS: Jonah in the belly of the fish (Jonah 1:17)
THREE DAYS/THREE NIGHTS: Jesus Christ physically dead (Matthew 12:40)
ANTICHRIST TRIUNE: Satan (dragon), antichrist, and false prophet. (Revelation 13)
(The antichrist comes BEFORE the return of the LORD!!! BEWARE! The antichrist will do try to imitate the LORD and do so with signs and wonders! The antichrist spirit is present in many popes. The Roman Catholic Church is fraught with inquisitions, scandals, child abuse, heresies, and idolatry! “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins…” (Rev 18:4) That also includes the Ecumenical Movement which is just a ploy to get Christians to compromise with the Roman Catholic Church. MESSIAH’S TEMPLE
So many more Scripture examples of “THREE”! It makes absolute sense that the Temple would be in three parts.
TEMPLE TRIUNE: outer court, inner court, and Holy of Holies
Herod’s Temple was razed in 70AD. And Yeshua warned the Christians to get out of town!
We, who believe in Yeshua the Messiah, now ARE ELOHIM’S TEMPLE! TRUE CHRISTIANS, those who have the Holy Spirit residing in them, are the NEW TEMPLE!
“Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16
Jewish people at the time of Christ, mostly knew what the LORD was saying when He spoke:
“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes unto the Father, but by Me.'” John 14:6
The Way is the Outer Court. The Truth is the Inner Court. The Life is the Holy of Holies. You can’t get there any other way! You’ve got to come by Yeshua Ha Mashiach! You’ve got to enter in by The Way (Outer Court)! Then you may go to the Truth, and then, in the spirit, into the Holy of Holies or to the Father! God is a spirit!
“Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus. By a new and living way, which he has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having a high priest over the house of God, Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;)” Hebrew 10:19-23)
A FINAL “THREE”
Now, I give you this other “three” Scripture:
“And now abides faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
