A mystery. I knew of Bilbo Baggins. I had read The Hobbit as a teenager. (Now I’m a grandmother.) I had seen the movie and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. But that was years ago! It hadn’t been on my mind since.
But here was Bilbo Baggins. It was a dream or vision from the LORD. It was Bilbo Baggins proclaiming “The Kingdom is come.” (June 12, 2017)
RIDDLES
So not being familiar with the intricacies of Bilbo’s personality, I wrote my “two expert sons”:
“What can you tell me about Bilbo Baggins?
I saw in the Spirit, Bilbo Baggins proclaiming God’s Kingdom is come.
1 The proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel:
2 To know wisdom and instruction,
to understand words of insight,
3 to receive instruction in wise dealing,
in righteousness, justice, and equity;
4 to give prudence to the simple,
knowledge and discretion to the youth—
5 Let the wise hear and increase in learning,
and the one who understands obtain guidance,
6 to understand a proverb and a saying,
the words of the wise and their riddles.
7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction.
(Proverbs 1)”
I thought they would know. My son Richard wrote me back:
“Why did you highlight ‘their riddles’?”
It was a riddle to me, figuring out what the LORD was trying to communicate! Further conversing with my son clued me in on that solving a riddle was a key win in Bilbo’s life. It actually spared his life!
Now, I needed to watch “The Hobbit” … but now was not the time. My son David who had the book was going to be reading the novel to his sons. But my daughter-in-love Karina offered to loan me a book called “Walking with Bilbo” by Sarah Arthur.
I knew in the Spirit, this book had the answers I sought to the riddle of my vision. God speaks in riddles, too!
THE ALMIGHTY CHOOSES
This is a summary of what I gathered from “Walking with Bilbo” (paperback edition for page notes) and the Word of God.
The LORD spoke at the Last Supper, a passover meal, these words:
“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He may give it to you.” John 15:16
These are not just words for the twelve apostles. If that were the case, then we could write off the whole heartening message!
“Let not your hearts be troubled.” (John 14:1) Sooooo comforting!
“If you love me, keep my commands.” (John 14:15)
The promise of the Holy Spirit (John 14:26; 15:26; 16:13)
“If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also” (John 15:20)
(If you have a need to be comforted just read these words of Our LORD! John 14 – 17 )
Yes, God does choose. God chose ME! I don’t know why, but He did! Like a Hobbit! Maybe I wanted to get back what really belonged to mankind! Like Bilbo Baggins –except he was a hobbit! And like Bilbo Baggins, I like to solve riddles of the LORD!
Sarah Arthur, the author, pointed out that God didn’t choose professionals! God choose ordinary folk because He alone gets the glory!
They are “quiet, average folk from a quiet, average land…” (pg 118)
All the apostles were ordinary people but WITH GOD, they accomplished miraculous feats!
THE KINGDOM IS COME!
According to my dream, I’m to proclaim: “The kingdom is come.” There was a similar prophetic word under a strong anointing, I gave at a church way back in the mid-nineties: “The kingdom of God is at hand.” (Mark 1:15)
Now I can proclaim: “The kingdom is come!” I believe the LORD will return soon and very soon! We are living in the very last days. I don’t profess to know what is going to happen but something is sure to happen this year 2017 during the Feast Days in September/October. Will it be the rapture? Maybe. Or maybe the Presence, the parousia, of God will be UPON us as never before. Maybe there will be an outpouring of God’s Spirit as never before. Maybe the sons of God will manifest.
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.” (Romans 8:18-21)

THE ENTOURAGE
A royal visit is not by the King alone. There is an entourage. Those who are sealed are His entourage. The entourage precedes the King, but it is part of the Kingly visit. It is a process, a procession.
The LORD appeared long ago at Bethlehem but few knew of it then. The Wise Men knew by the Sign of His Coming in the stars 2000 years ago! The King had appeared! The shepherds knew! His mother knew! Yet the LORD started doing public miracles after His baptism. Christ had three and a half years of earthly ministry. Then He died and was resurrected. HalleluYAH!
The Church was birthed at Pentecost soon after the resurrection of Christ. Satan tried to destroy the Church. Through prayer and persecution, the Church will go on to be the Sons of God. Perhaps their ministry as the Sons of God will also be three and a half years. (7 times a half-year?)
“… the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18
THE SIGN
On September 23, 2017, there will be the Sign of His Coming in the pattern of the stars and planets. Perhaps Christ will be manifest in His servants for we can do nothing without Him! His kingdom is come! To the Church: We are the entourage. We are part of the 144,000 – the saints who have a seal on them. His kingdom is come in His Church and with that He has arrived!
“Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, ‘The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever.’” Revelation 11:15
I don’t think this is the rapture. We have too much to do as a Church! We need the outpouring of the Spirit so that many are saved.
But I believe in the “rapture” or our being “caught up” together to meet the LORD in the air. (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18) Sometime soon there will be the rapture. However, “the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to Him”, happens after the rebellion (which is happening now) and “the man of lawlessness is revealed.” Then the wrath of God will come upon the unrepentant, the Day of the LORD. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-4)

However, the Kingdom is come! With the Kingdom, comes the King! But we must wait on the procession.
