The Fall Feasts in Revelation

Luke 21:36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.

Yeshua fulfilled the prophecies of the Spring Feasts during His First Coming: Passover (the day Christ died), Unleavened Bread (Christ was sinless so He couldn’t be kept in the grave!), Firstfruits (the Resurrection); and Pentecost (when He sent His Holy Spirit).

He will fulfill the last three feasts during His Second Coming. These are the Feast of Trumpets, Yom Kippur, and the Feast of Tabernacles when the believers live happily with the LORD forever! Notice there are SEVEN Feasts.

These two events in the Book of Revelation happen right before the LORD sets up His Millennial Reign. The SEVENTH TRUMPET (REV 11:15; 4th Vision), where the Kingdom of God is proclaimed, & the SEVENTH BOWL (REV 16:19; 5th Vision) where the wrath of the Almighty God is visited upon Babylon, are happening in “one hour” or 15 literal days* between YOM TERUAH and the FEAST OF TABERNACLES! This includes YOM KIPPUR in the middle.

[Notice the same thunderings and earthquake in both these passages: REV 11:19 (4th Vision) and REV 16:18 (5th Vision).]

YOM TERUAH or THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS

This Feast could come on one of two days, because it is subject to the moon, so that’s why it is written in the Scriptures “.. that day and hour no one knows…” (Mark 13:32; Matt 24:36)

LEV 23:23 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 24 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.

Notice it is in the seventh month! The beginning of the year was Abib/Nisan (LEV 23:5) in the spring. Now Jewish people call this feast Rosh Hashanah in September or October and it celebrates the New Year. Somebody changed the calendar back when the Israelites were in Babylon.

Now, Yom Teruah is the day when they celebrate the crowning of the King of Kings. This first part of the celebration is called, according to rabbinical sources, “Malchuyet”. So we have here this Scripture, which takes place in Revelation at the Seventh Trumpet:

REV 11:15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”

This is a glorious event, proclaiming Christ as King!

Then comes the second part: “Zichronot”. The righteous will be judged. Are we ready to be lifted up to go in the “resurrection of the just”? (LUKE 14:14)

Then finally, the third part is the “Shofarot” or the “sounding of the shofar”. This will include “great blast” at the end. Listen here to the sounding of the ram’s horn!

1COR 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1THES 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

HalleluYAH! I hope I will be there with the saints on this particular FEAST OF TRUMPETS, when the last blast – the “great blast” (Tekiah Gedolah) is sounded and we go to be with the LORD forever!

The THRESHING

Yeshua taught this:

MATT 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”

Autumn is the time of the harvest. The tares or weeds will be gathered together on the plains of Megiddo for the Battle of Armagedon at the Sixth Bowl. (REV 16:16) Then the wheat, the saints of God, will be gathered into the air with the LORD.

REV 14:16 So the One seated on the cloud swung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.

OLD TESTAMENT SCRIPTURES

Maybe some of you didn’t realize that the “resurrection of the just”, now commonly called the “rapture” (but the LORD never called it this) was predicted in the OT!

ISA 26:19 Your dead shall live;
Together with my dead body they shall arise.
[Double Prophecy: This happened at Christ’s resurrection just in Jerusalem. However, that was the Firstfruits (1 COR 15:23)! It will happen again when all saints will arise!]
Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust;
For your dew is like the dew of herbs,
And the earth shall cast out the dead.
20 Come, my people, enter your chambers,
And shut your doors behind you;
Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment,
Until the indignation is past.
21 For behold, the Lord comes out of His place
To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity;
The earth will also disclose her blood,
And will no more cover her slain.

ISA 27:12 And it shall come to pass in that day
That the Lord will thresh,
From the channel of the River to the Brook of Egypt;
And you will be gathered one by one,
O you children of Israel.
13 So it shall be in that day:
The great trumpet will be blown;
They will come, who are about to perish in the land of Assyria,
And they who are outcasts in the land of Egypt,
And shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

Zephaniah 2:3 ESV Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, who do his just commands; seek righteousness; seek humility; perhaps you may be hidden on the day of the anger of the Lord.

THE MARRIAGE OF THE LAMB

This is the 7th Trumpet where the saints are resurrected! But not only are the saints resurrected! They will be at the Marriage of the LAMB to His Bride!

REV 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” 8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. 9 Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.”

WATCH & PRAY!

REV 3:10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

Notice it says from “the hour of trial”. It doesn’t say from the persecution of the antichrist. This “hour”, or 15 literal days*, is the time between Feast of Trumpets/Yom Teruah and the Feast of Tabernacles/Sukkot. The Trumpet and Bowl Judgments last for a total of 3.5 years, probably getting worse and worse, but this is the time of Babylon falling. These judgments can be seen here, paralleling each other.

REV 18:9 “The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, 10 standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.

However, the overcomers (see REV 2&3) will be spared the wrath of God.

1THES 5:9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,  10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. 11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

YOM KIPPUR or THE DAY OF ATONEMENT

Yom = Day; Kippur = covering, particularly “covering” of our sins or atonement.

“The initial Hebrew meaning of the root ‘K-P-R’ {כ-פ-ר} – which ‘Yom Kippur’ comes from – actually means ‘to cover’ and can be found in the original Hebrew name for the ‘Mercy Seat’ of the ‘Ark of the Covenant’ which is called in the Hebrew Bible ‘Kaporet’ {כפורת} (‘covering’)”.

The LAMB and His Bride will enjoy a “honeymoon” of about seven days when they will be in the hoopah. They will come out of their chambers on YOM KIPPUR. The Book of Joel speaks for us nowadays of the endtime, and in this passage YOM KIPPUR:

JOEL 2:16 Gather the people, Sanctify the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, And the bride from her dressing room [chuppah].

H2646. chuppah (This word has a meaning of “covering”, also!)

Brown-Driver-Briggs I. חֻמָּה noun feminine canopy, chamber (as covering, enclosing) — absolute ׳ח Isaiah 4:5; suffix תֻמָּתוֺ Psalm 19:6; חֻמָּתָהּ Joel 2:16; — 1 canopy, ׳עלכֿלכּֿבוד ח Isaiah 4:5 over all glory a canopy (for protection). 2 chamber, of bridegroom Psalm 19:6 (metaphor of sunrising); of bride Joel 2:16 (“” חֶדֶר of bridegroom).

JUDGMENT DAY

But YOM KIPPUR is also Judgment Day! Those who have not repented will have judgment for they did not receive the atonement of the LORD. This is when the LORD rides out with His white horse for the victory.

REV 14:14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and seated on the cloud one like a Son of Man, with a golden crown on His head, and a sharp sickle in His hand. [4th Vision]

REV 19:11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. [7th Vision]

REV 19:21 “And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him [Yeshua] who sat on the horse.”

MATT 25:46 “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

SUKKOT or THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES

Sukkot or the Feast of Tabernacles is when we live forever with the LORD! HalleluYAH!

REV 21:1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

REV 21: 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

‘May you be signed and sealed in the Book of Life!’

(Yom Kippur greeting)

Glory be to YAH alone!

*
From a Messianic rabbi:
This is the concept of “a day for a year”.

EZE 4:4-5 (CEV) After that, lie down on your left side and stay there for 390 days as a sign of Israel’s punishment —one day for each year of its suffering.

In the Book of Revelation, it often uses the Day for a Year Concept:
1 day = one literal year or 360 days.
1 hour = 15 literal days
(360 divided by 24)
about half an hour = about 7 days
