“My Kingdom is not of this world,” declares Yeshua the Messiah. (John 18:36)

However, the LORD speaks of a Millennial reign on the earth for a thousand years in the near future in the 7th Millennium (6000-7000).

6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. 7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. Revelation 20

So we must reconcile these two statements from inerrant Holy Scripture.

The LORD did NOT say “My Kingdom is not of this EARTH”. There is a difference between “world” (2889 kósmos) and “earth” (1093 gḗ) in the Greek. He DID SAY “My Kingdom is not of this world [2889 kósmos]”. This world system, whose god is money & power & pagan deities, is totally corrupt.

The LORD’s kingdom, however, is spiritual.

Christ gave an account of the nature of his kingdom. Its nature is not worldly; it is a kingdom within men, set up in their hearts and consciences; its riches spiritual, its power spiritual, and it glory within. Its supports are not worldly; its weapons are spiritual; Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary

But the LORD does and will reign over the earth spiritually – with great love! Agape love is spiritual but it shows through acts of kindness. And the weapons of His warfare are His WORDS which are spirit.

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63.

When believers come to “walk in the Spirit“, we will be what God intended us to be: the Sons of God, ruling and reigning with Him.

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 1 John 3:2

Christ with His saints will be ruling over the nations of the earth [1093 gḗ], as we can plainly see from Revelation 20.

That which was proclaimed in Revelation will come to be:

Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world [2889 kósmos] have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” Revelation 11:15

The kingdoms of this world, with the oppression, tyranny, sin and deception, WILL BE SUBMITTED UNTO CHRIST! People will be free of their enslavement!

But after the Millennial, when Satan is released, the deceived will rebel against Christ. Next is the Great White Throne Judgment. Then after this ETERNITY awaits. Where will you go for ETERNITY? If your name is written in the Book of Life – if you trust in the Messiah – you will spend eternity in heaven! Believe in Christ who is our righteousness for otherwise you will be judged “according to your works“ which will separate you from God …. because even a sinful thought is sin!

THE NEW JERUSALEM

So there will be in the future, after the 7th Millennium and into eternity, a NEW JERUSALEM. This New Jerusalem will come down out of heaven.

1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth [1093 gḗ], for the first heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Revelation 21

This New Jerusalem represents the Bride of Christ because a city is made up of saintly people!

And where the Bride is, there will be Christ! God is moving His throne to the huge* New Jerusalem which will be on/above the earth!!!

“The throne of God and of the Lamb will be within the city…” (Rev 22:3)

Eden is at last restored. God’s will will be done! Glory to the King of Kings!

4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21

GLORY BE TO THE LORD MOST HIGH!

*The New Jerusalem will be about 1,380 miles or 2,220 kilometers. But will it be a square or a pyramid? Believers in the LORD will know someday!
