At the last Passover, St. Thomas questioned Yeshua (Jesus Christ) about where He was going. Were the Apostles aware that Christ would die and then be resurrected on the third day? The Messiah would then ascend into heaven to prepare the place for the His Bride, His elect, at His heavenly Father’s “home” in Heaven!

John 14

1“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions [rooms*]; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Yeshua had already said, “You know the way to the place where I am going.” It was through the Temple! Let me explain.

The WAY

But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. Revelation 21:22

The temple, or earlier the tabernacle, was the place where the Israelites met God. According to the rabbinical teaching*, the Outer Court was called the WAY. Sinners offered a sacrifice there on the brazen altar. One cannot enter the Presence of God without a free will sacrifice.

‘If his offering is a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish; he shall offer it of his own free will at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD. Leviticus 1:3

Yeshua became our sacrifice when He died on the cross. Yeshua is our Passover Lamb.

So there was ONE WAY in to meet with God. One needed to go through the Outer Court or the WAY. When Yeshua said He was the WAY, He meant it! He is the WAY!

Did you know that this sect of Judaism with belief in the Messiah was called the WAY soon after His Ascension? (It was considered a sect of Judaism until Emperor Constantine separated the Messianic Jews and the Christians.)

and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. Acts 9:2

But when some were hardened and did not believe, but spoke evil of the Way before the multitude, he departed from them and withdrew the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus. Acts 19:9

And about that time there arose a great commotion about the Way. Acts 19:23

This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, “These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.” Acts 16:17

the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing.
Hebrews 9:8

The Old Testament also hints at it:

And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called the way of holiness; Isaiah 35:8 KJV

There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. Proverbs 14:12

One has a choice between the WAY to heaven and eternal life OR the way of death. God desires for us to choose LIFE! But you have free will, so the choice is yours!

I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; Deuteronomy 30:19

There is NO OTHER WAY! No religions or laws, can get one into heaven. One must come through the WAY. Yeshua is the WAY into the spirtual temple, where one could meet with LORD Adonai. There is one WAY (Outer Court) in to the TEMPLE. The Inner Court was called the TRUTH. When we meet with God He leads us into all TRUTH! And the Holy of Holies, the third part of the temple, is the LIFE.

19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:19-22

“Our hearts [are] sprinkled from an evil conscience” through the atoning sacrifice of Yeshua presented at the door of the Outer Court and we become “washed with pure water” through baptism in the laver in the Outer Court.

CONCLUSION

There is ONLY ONE WAY to the TRUE ALMIGHTY GOD and it is through Yeshua who is Emmanuel, “God with us”! Believe on Him and be born-again to NEW LIFE!

Yeshua the Messiah is our Passover Lamb AND the Temple AND the WAY to heaven! HalleluYAH!
