The Church of the Almighty God is eternal. However, the last days of the Church on this earth will be stupendous!
1 Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.
2 For behold, darkness covers the earth,
and thick darkness is over the peoples;
but the LORD will rise upon you,
and His glory will appear over you.
3 Nations will come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
(Isaiah 60)
Some similarities between the Scriptures and the last days of the Church.
1.
Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ) had a public ministry for three and a half years. I believe that the Church will have this particularly stupendous ministry for three and a half years. This is just before we are whisked away for “the resurrection of the just”. (Luke 14:14)
2.
Yeshua fed the hungry with loaves and fishes. The Church has been doing this in the natural. However, I believe that in this last day, they will be doing it supernaturally, just as our Messiah did. There will not be enough to go around, but the LORD will multiply!
3.
Yeshua healed the sick. The Church has already been doing this. However, the Church will do this more and more.
‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. Matthew 10:7c-8
Speaking of the last days, the Scriptures say that “The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings”! (Malachi 4:2) All healings come from the LORD God who uses our hands to heal the sick.
4.
Yeshua was protected or transported supernaturally. These were angry mobs that He was escaping! (Luke 4:30; John 4:39; 8:59) Also in Acts, “the Spirit of the LORD caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more…” (Acts 8:39) Both Elijah and Ezekiel were transported supernaturally. (1 Kings 18:12; Ezekiel 3:12) Perhaps if God wants you someplace, in the possible days of the “ginger ale” passports, you may be transported supernaturally!
5.
Yeshua did what He saw the Father do.
Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.” John 5:19
As we grow in the LORD, may we do the same!
“for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.” Matthew 10:20
“For I [Christ] have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.” John 13:15
St. Paul wrote: “Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1) To be a disciple, we need to imitate Christ!
6.
Yeshua raised the dead. The Church has already been doing this to some degree. Yet, there will be more raised to life by the power of the name of Yeshua HaMashiach!
7.
Yeshua, after His death which was illegal in the throne room of heaven because Christ did not sin, was raised to life. If we are in Christ, we have already died with Him, so we will be raised to life!
3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin. 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6
SOME SCRIPTURES TO THINK UPON
Are you part of the Messiah’s Bride?
“It is these who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are virgins. It is these who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been redeemed from mankind as firstfruits for God and the Lamb, And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God.” Revelation 14:4-5
These are some Scriptures to meditate on regarding these “greater works”:
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” John 14:12-14
Yes, it is true that a “greater thing” is to lead a person to salvation in Christ! But is that all there is to this Scripture?
So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. Matthew 21:21
This faith comes from God. You will hear His voice as the LORD will direct!
However, Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27) It could come as a word in Scripture or “a still, small voice” or sometimes even audible!
And finally,
In that day the Lord will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the Lord before them. Zechariah 12:8 (This is Jerusalem in the natural realm AND Jerusalem in the spiritual realm.)
