For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly,
Saying, ‘Peace, peace!’
When there is no peace.

Until my browser Bing pointed it out, I didn’t realize that September 21 is the International Day of Peace. There’s a “tower of light” for a memorial in Iceland. It’s slogan is “Imagine Peace”.

Well, you can try to “imagine peace”, but the forces of darkness are very tricky.  They may bring a false peace.  The antichrist and false prophet will, for about 3 and a half years.   (See unholy trinity or see Revelation in categories.)

1 Thessalonians 5:3 (NKJV)
3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

However, Jesus Christ will bring peace, for He is the True Prince of Peace. He is Yahweh-Shalom.

SOUL or SPIRIT

One cannot “imagine peace”.  “Imagine” is in the soul-ish realm.  The definition of “imagine “is to “form a mental image or concept of”.  It is visualization.

But there is a vast difference between the Scriptural spirit and the soul.  One cannot know the Spirit until you are born-again of the spirit.

ONLY in union with JESUS CHRIST are we able to live in and by the HOLY SPIRIT!

We should have this order of authority in our lives:

1. The Holy Spirit of Christ
2. The new spirit in Christ (being born-again!)
3. The soul in the process of sanctification to become like Christ
4. The body (carnal)

That’s when we will have “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding”.  Philippians 4:7

THEY and Y’ALL

I’m from Texas and we have a nice expression here: “Y’all” meaning “you all”.  Notice, in this passage, the difference between “they”, “them” AND “you” (plural), “we”.

And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.

We, who are born-again Christians, are the sons of light and we should be aware (unless  one is operating in a carnal nature!)  It has been prophesied that the antichrist will  bring this false ‘peace”,  but we shall know the Truth!

Oh, what a glorious Day when the LORD returns to earth for those who are prepared!
