(This is the 2nd part of Matthew 24 & the 7 Seals ; please begin here if you have not read part one. If the previous article is a mostly correct assessment of the end-times, currently, we are now up to the Fifth Seal: the martyrs.)

Matthew 24 & the 7 Seals (Part 2)

The END WILL COME … SOON!

MATT 24:14c and then the end will come.

If you’ve ever seen “The Chosen”, Jesus is frequently saying “soon”. It’s a bit of a joke in the series: “When is ‘soon’?” God’s time is not our time. The Almighty Creator is outside of time!

2PET 3:8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

The Great Tribulation

MATT 24:15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand),

This is about 3.5 years till the LORD returns!

REV 13:5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.

MATT 24:16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

Where will the people of God flee to? Many preachers believe they shall flee to Petra in Jordan. This is an almost impregnable city built into the stone mountains.

FALSE CHRISTS

MATT 24:23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand. 26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.

False messiahs have existed throughout time. Possibly, as this prophecy is for the most part linear, this is a separate time from the verse MATT 24:11. Could it be that the LORD is noting a particular antichrist?

‘Look, He is in the desert!’ Maybe the Muslim’s “fake christ”, the Mahdi, will appear in the desert, since much of the Middle East is desert.

‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ “Inner rooms” may be translated as a “secret chamber”. This is interesting because some Shia Muslims believe that Muhammad al-Mahdi, the Twelfth Imam, born in 869AD, went into “occultation” (hidden from the world) and then will reappear at the end-time.

These are types of false messiahs for whom unbelievers are waiting:

Mahdi, “the Guided One”, from Islam, an anticipated messiah near the end.

Maitreya from Hinduism, Buddhism and also Theosophy.

This “fake Mary”, the apparition who is a fallen angel – and maybe satan himself who desires worship.

“Aliens” – also, fallen angels that will supposedly save the world from its own demise.

The devil may trick someone according to what culture or belief they hold. If one wants an alien, the devil will deceive with an alien. If one is into “Mary worship”, the devil can deceive people into these fake apparitions. However, ultimately, the unbelievers will all concede to worship the final antichrist, if they are here at that time.

REV 13:7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

This final antichrist will be revealed soon because the “falling away” is already happening.

2 THES 2:3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

When Yeshua the Messiah returns, it will be the event of all time! He is coming on clouds with His saints!

MATT 24:27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

So do NOT be deceived. Christ won’t be in the desert or an inner room! This final antichrist, who will appear in the temple claiming to be God, is so very deceptive! But if you know these Scriptures you are forewarned!

HAR-MAGEDON

MATT 24:28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.

Many translations give the word “vultures” instead of “eagles”. It is suitable in this context as this is a reference to the Har-Magedon battle. The LORD will return soon after these rebellious armies gather together in Israel. I don’t know how long they will be gathered there before the battle but it must be more than a day! It should begin before the Feast of Trumpets.

Yeshua prophesied the gathering of the tares (unbelievers) and the gathering of the wheat (believers) in the Parable of the Weeds.

MATT 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn….

REV 16:16 NASB And they gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called Har-Magedon.

The name “Har-Magedon” means “A heap of sheaves in a valley for judgment” according to the Hebrew language. (Aremah [H6194]; Gaye [H1516]; Don [H1777; H1778])

The traditional view is that this battle is in the Megiddo Valley, and maybe some troops will pass through there on their way to their final destination, but the ultimate battle is in the Valley of Jehoshaphat, the  “valley of decision” known today as the Kidron Valley in Jerusalem proper. Scripture makes this plain: Zechariah 14:2-3; Joel 3:1-2, Joel 3:12-14. “Jehoshaphat” means “Yahweh judges” and here He does just that!

Cosmic Disturbances

The Sixth Seal
REV 6:12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. 13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. 14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.

These cosmic disturbances are also in Yeshua’s end-time prophesy.

MATT 24:29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And [better: Indeed] He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

First, the Scripture clearly says “Immediately after the tribulation”. There is now no more tribulation! Why? Because the saints have been transported to heaven. (verse 31) This is known from the order of the Fall Feast: Feast of Trumpets/Resurrection of the Just; Yom Kippur/Day of Judgment; and Feast of Tabernacles where the saints will dwell eternally with their God.

This gathering together of the saints is the “RESURRECTION of the JUST” (Luke 14:14) by Yeshua’s own words. Nowadays, it is more commonly called the “rapture” but some of the “rapture” preachers are unaware of the relationship between the Feasts and end-time events. The “RESURRECTION of the JUST” happens at the Feast of Trumpets, or YOM TERUAH.

1COR 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Then after the resurrection, there will be the heavenly Marriage. The Bride of Christ will be face to face with her wondrous Husband! This is consistent with the order in the Seventh Vision of Revelation: the Marriage, then Yeshua Ha’Mashiach on a white horse with His Bride to defeat the rebellious at Har-Magedon. (REV 19)

The GALILEAN WEDDING

The Galilean wedding, as opposed to a Jewish wedding, typically occurred after the harvest. This is significant as the LORD said in the previously referenced parable …

MATT 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares … but gather the wheat into my barn….

Therefore, the Galilean wedding after the harvest symbolized the end-time gathering — the Bridegroom coming for His Bride at the end of the “harvest” of souls. (See more on the Galilean wedding here.)

IT’S NEAR!

MATT 24:32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

Today, we are seeing many of “these things”! We’ve seen “the beginning of sorrows” which includes wars, famine, pestilences, and earthquakes becoming more frequent. (See Part 1) Just in the past few days, on September 30, 2025, a 6.9 earthquake struck off the coast of the Philippines and another 6.1 earthquake hit Indonesia’s Maluku province on October 1, 2025.

A GENERATION

When I came back to the LORD in 1984, well-meaning preachers were teaching that a generation was 40 years. Then when the LORD didn’t show up, they changed it to 70 years. Well, it’s been over 70 years that Israel re-became a nation, so it’s time to look for a more understandable definition:

STUDY BIBLE: … “this generation” could be interpreted more broadly to mean the Jewish people or humanity as a whole, indicating a longer timeline for the fulfillment of these prophecies.

It’s about the Jewish people. They, though they’re not perfect by any means, have been abused and persecuted, by the world through malicious lies, designed by the enemy to keep souls ignorant of the past.

ROM 9:4 … Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises; 5 of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.

Through the tribe of Judah, the LORD Yeshua was birthed in the flesh on this earth! We should never forget that! Jesus is a Jew!

The pogroms, the holocaust by the Nazis, and the radical Muslims murdering these chosen people not withstanding, the Jewish generation lives on! The Jews as a nation will not pass away!

I’ve known Jews since I went to high school. They were more than kind to me, even taking me in to live when I had a tonsillectomy!

(Please don’t confuse the Jews with fake Jews!)

The words “pass away” are seen in the above verse of Matthew 24:34 and 35. This is significant, tying the two verses together. And His Word to the nation of Israel:

EZE 37:11 Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’ ” … 21 “Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; 22 and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; … 25 Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell there, they, their children, and their children’s children, forever; and My servant David shall be their prince forever.

The re-born nation of Israel will continue! The enemy is trying to destroy it but they will be defeated in the end when Christ returns to save the Jews.

ZECH 14:3 Then the Lord will go forth
And fight against those nations,
As He fights in the day of battle.

The WRATH TO COME

At the end of the Sixth Seal, the prophetic word mentions the wrath of God. This is a preview of the Seventh Seal.

REV 6:15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

Thank you, O Heavenly Father, that believers do not have to endure the wrath of God! We are now covered in the blood of Christ!

1THES 5:9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

We are out of here by the time this wrath happens!

ISA 57:1 The righteous perishes,
And no man takes it to heart;
Merciful men are taken away,
While no one considers
That the righteous is taken away from evil.
2 He shall enter into peace;
They shall rest in their beds,
Each one walking in his uprightness.

SEVENTH SEAL

REV 8:1 When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and they were given seven trumpets.

The Seventh Seal begins the wrath of God as it unleashes the Seven Trumpets and then the Seven Bowls. The Bowls are similar for the most part but more severe. (Comparison of Trumpets & Bowls.pdf)

The RETURN of CHRIST

I couldn’t let this article end without speaking of the return of Our LORD! That’s what Christians are anxiously anticipating!

LUKE 21:27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

The LORD is returning with His saints!

1THES 3:13 so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

We’re going up to meet the LORD in the air (1Thes 4:17), and after our marriage and honeymoon (Joel 2:15-16; 16d), we are returning to this earth with Him as an army.

7th Vision REV 19:11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war….. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.

REV 17:14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”

The Lion of Judah wins this battle!

REV 19:11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He [Yeshua] who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.

It doesn’t take much for the LORD to destroy the enemy!

2Thes 2:8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.

Wow! Much is in white. The horses are white. The army wears white linen. The LORD’s hair is white (REV 1:14). His face is like the sun. Can you imagine the brightness?!!!!

REV 1:16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.

The King of Kings will triumph over the enemies of God.

(7th Vision) REV 19:19 And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. 20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet … These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.

ISA 11:4d And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.

CONCLUSION

I’ve been reading and studying the Book of Revelation since I came back to Christ in 1984. When I was fasting for some days in the beginning of this century, the LORD clued me into why the Lord returns or appears more than once within the book of Revelation. There were Seven Visions of Revelation. (Maybe St. John wrote them down after each vision. Maybe not.) But I didn’t disclose this idea publicly at this time. It wasn’t the right time. And I kept on studying. I needed to know more about the Fall Feast and their relationship to the end-times.

No one knows exactly how the end-times will all play out. (See THIS IS THAT article) But we have the Scriptures that give us an indication of the timeline and relevant events. And hopefully, these two articles will give you a good start to a better understanding, relating Matthew 24 to the Seven Seals, as the Seven Seals is an overview of the end-times.

So, will we go through the great tribulation, as I’ve indicated in this article, if we are not resurrected until that final last trump sounds?

Rabbi Kirt A. Schneider, of the broadcast Discovering the Jewish Jesus, wrote in his book The Book of Revelation Decoded:

“… I do not think God will remove His church from the earth before the tribulation begins … “

God has a plan for all of us. Some may never live to see the great tribulation. Yet, the last-days of the Church shall be awesome! The Messiah may have mighty plans for us, even us old folk! You might be instrumental to lead someone to Christ or you might help the Jews escape or you might be a martyr for the faith. And prayer is most vital! It’s all important. Let us continue to build the Kingdom of God! HalleluYAH!

PSA31:23 Oh, love the Lord, all you His saints!
For the Lord preserves the faithful,
And fully repays the proud person.
24 Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart,
All you who hope in the Lord.
