GREAT REVERSAL PREVAILS over Great Reset

Written by:

including a book review of The Unseen Realm by Dr. Michael S. Heiser.

THE GREAT RESET

Many of us have heard of the “Great Reset”. After the man-made COVID fiasco, major players are pushing for this. King Charles, then Prince of Wales, spoke about it at the summit In June 2020:

“Unless we take the action necessary, and build in a greener and more inclusive and sustainable way, then we will have more and more pandemics.”

How is that so???

“The pandemic represents a rare but narrow window of opportunity to reflect, reimagine, and reset our world to create a healthier, more equitable, and more prosperous future.” Prof Klaus Schwab, head of the World Economic Forum (WEF)

For whom? Just the elite? Whom have they wiped out spreading this “ginger ale”? There is a systematic plan to reduce the population.

To pay for all this “Great Reset”, there must be a tax. There have been protests against this “Great Reset”. Many are leery of this proposal – as it is steering the way to a New World Order.

So while the earthly powers-that-be are conspiring to make us into a one-world government with the antichrist at its head, in the true Christian community, there is going on an awakening.

“Sleeper, awake! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

(EPH 5:14b)

THE GREAT REVERSAL

Some are seeking to save the world by a Great Reset, but what God is offering us is this Great Reversal!

NOTE: I’m not referring to the “great reversal” that affected US Protestantism in the 20th century, where the focus became evangelism and not social concerns.

The “Great Reversal” starts with our lives. When Yeshua is LORD, He will take a broken life and will turn it into a triumphant life for we are overcomers!

ROM 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

REVIEW of The Unseen Realm

My son-in-love who is a God-fearing pastor recommended this scholarly book, The Unseen Realm by Dr. Michael S. Heiser. The author points out the “great reversal”. God is going to reverse the curse that came with the fall of men, including taking back the earth from the enemy and recreating an Eden-like heaven on earth.

Isaiah 46:9–10 “I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose.’

God will reverse the curse for that is His intention! Under this reversal, when the Kingdom of God is on earth and Yeshua is reigning with His saints, this will happen:

  1. The sick will be restored. (ISA 29:18-19; 30:26) (See what could happen even prior to the Millennium Reign in “The Last Days of the Church” article.)
  2. An abundance of good food, not manufactured, but the way God intended the fruit and vegetables to be. (ISA 4:2; ISA 7:21-22)
  3. Peace on earth! (HOS 2:18; ISA 11:9) including Israel (EZE 39:21)
  4. YAHWEH is LORD and God over all the earth! (ISA 19:24-25; EZE 38:23)

Anyone who studies the whole Bible should know this, but the author also makes some rather stunning statements.

QUESTIONS

These are some questions that were raised, which I wanted to get out of the way first. Yet, I highly recommend this book.

The Holy Scriptures are absolutely true. So, as with any book not in the canon, one should be careful that it agrees with God’s Word. Even with my articles, if you can prove me wrong with Scripture not taken out of context, including cultural context, I will be happy to change these opinions. Everything spiritual should be based on the Scriptures. However, sometimes there are two right ways of seeing some Scriptures – a double entendre!

DIVINE

One of the things I was hesitant about is his calling the elohim the “divine council”. I considered only God as divine. Yet the definition is:

divine: adj. of, from, or like God or a god.

I was going by something like this:

“Divinity refers to the quality or nature of God’s being. In Christianity, divinity belongs to God alone.” from Regent University

So the author takes a broader use of the word, relating it as “of God”. Actually, Christians are “sharers of the divine nature” (2 PET 1:4) So, there’s no problem.

IN GOD”S IMAGE

When “God [elohim] said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image…’”, the author posed the possibility that God was referring to the “elohim”. I don’t believe that this is the case. It says there “make” and God is the creator of us all! (GEN 1:26-27)

God made us into triune beings, just as He is: spirit, soul, and body. (See “Elohim’s Temple” and also “Saved, Saved, Saved”)

THE SEPTUAGINT

I’m not a Greek scholar but the author states that “the Septuagint is a big deal” and it may be such. (p.386) But the Septuagint version is in the Greek so therefore is not the original language as the scrolls of the OT were generally written in Hebrew or Aramaic. The NT uses some Septuagint passages and they are therefore correct. Yet, some of the Septuagint may be slightly “off” because it is not the original language, just as any translation is subject to scrutiny. The original language is the best! One can see the original language in a text analysis (Greek or Hebrew) of that Scripture. The oldest text of the Bible are in the Dead Sea Scrolls. These were written mostly in Hebrew with a few in Aramaic or Greek but this version is relatively new, being discovered at Qumran in 1947.

POINTS TO PONDER

Yet, I still do endorse this book. The following are good points he makes:

ANGEL of the LORD

This is when YHWH is seen visibly. Jacob has an encounter with YHWH …

So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: “For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.” (GEN 32:30)

This is fascinating. The author goes into great detail about these incidents, when the “Angel of the LORD” shows up on a scene. These could be theophanies!

Elohim

(H430); plural of Eloah

PSALM 82:1 ESV
God has taken his place in the divine council;
in the midst of the gods [elohim] he holds judgment:

Scripture plainly states that there are other gods. For example, when in my warfare mood prompted by the Holy Spirit, I make this proclamation:

JER 10:11b “The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth shall perish from the earth and from under these heavens.”

So it is very Scriptural! These are not the One True God, but they are the Sons of God, until a third of them rebelled. This is is their dire lot:

PSALM 82:6
I said, “You are gods,
sons of the Most High, all of you;
7 nevertheless, like men you shall die,
and fall like any prince.”

Nephilim

GEN 6:1-4

2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose.

The writer challenged the idea about these “sons of God” being from the family of Seth, that has been the position in many churches. This view doesn’t allow for NT Scriptures in 2 Peter 2:4 and Jude 6 and the Book of Enoch. If you want to know more about the Nephilim with pertinent quotes from Enoch, see “Extraterrestrial: Angels or Aliens?

Deuteronomy 32 Worldview

This was a new way of thinking for me but it is Scriptural.

“God decreed, in the wake of Babel, that the other nations he had forsaken would have other gods besides himself to worship. It is as though God were saying, “If you don’t want to obey me, … I’ll match you up with some other god.” (p. 114)

DEUT 32:8

When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance,
when he divided mankind,
he fixed the borders of the peoples
according to the number of the sons of God.
9 But the Lord’s portion is his people,
Jacob his allotted heritage.

My note: That’s why Paul addressed the Athenians:

ACTS 17:24 ESV
The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, 25 nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. 26 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us,…. 30 The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, 31 because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.”

Paul, who was quite familiar with the Torah, knew of this pronouncement in Deuteronomy, but now, after the LORD’s resurrection, it was time for them to repent and turn back to the LORD! This is the Great Reversal in action! Therefore, we have the GREAT COMMISSION

NEW SONS OF GOD

“The believer’s destiny is to become what Adam and Eve originally were: immortal, glorified imagers of God, living in God’s presence as his children.” (p.308)

The author lists Scripture to contain this: John 1:12-13; GAL 4:4-7; ROM 8:15-17; EPH 1:4-5

And this, one of my favorite Scriptures which I frequently refer to it:

1 JOHN 3:2
Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

Oh, glorious day! This is truly the Great Reversal! God’s will be done! And His Kingdom is coming to earth! HalleluYAH!

CONCLUSION

The enemy of our souls, knowing he has limited time, is doing everything in his power to stop this “Great Reversal” of the curse through his own “Great Reset”. But as the LORD said, I will accomplish all my purpose. However, the new Sons of God, born of His spirit, are learning what it means to be a Son of the Most High God.
