MICAH 5:2 NKJV
“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
Though you are little among the thousands of Judah,
Yet out of you shall come forth to Me
The One to be Ruler in Israel,
Whose goings forth are from of old,
From everlasting.”
This speaks of the Messiah. Did Micah prophesy something else about His birth? Yes!
MICAH 4:8 “And you, O Tower of Eder, Fort of the daughter of Zion, to you it comes, Indeed, the former rule has come in, The kingdom to the daughter of Jerusalem.” (Literal Standard Version)
Yeshua the Messiah was born in Migdal Eder in Bethlehem.
MICAH 4:8 And thou, Migdal-eder, the hill of the daughter of Zion… (JPS Tanakh 1917)

TRUTHS
When I was delivered from my sinful past, I prayed to know the TRUTH! Ten days later I had a vision of the LORD, and He downloaded to me some truths from His WORD. So the TRUTH is very important to me.
JOHN 17:17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
However, there are misunderstandings of this truth. We have been taught one thing, a tradition from a well-meaning teacher who received it from another teacher, but one learns the truth in the Word of God. So the westernized story of Messiah’s birth is somewhat in error, according to Scripture.
But mostly everybody has the city of Christ’s birth. In Bethlehem, of course. Yet, was Yeshua born in a cave or stable or Migdal Eder, the tower of the flock?
The case for Migdal Eder is, beside the Scripture above, that is where the Passover lambs would have been birthed! Is it not a wonderful place for the Messiah, the King of Israel, “whose goings forth are from of old” to be born? He is our Passover Lamb!
1COR 5:7b … For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.
If you want to know more about the story of Christ’s nativity, go here: “O Little Tower of Bethlehem”. This also, beside the written text, has a 15-minute video for children, if you prefer.
See more about the truth of Christ’s birth here: NO ROOM IN THE INN? and also about the Passover & the Tower of the Flock here. A more in depth book is Alfred Edersheim, the Life and Times of the Messiah.
So please “go tell it on the mountain“ that Yeshua the Messiah has come! And He will come again!
