When the LORD delivered me from evil (see My Testimony), I wanted to divorce my husband who was then against me being a Christian.   But I could not … BECAUSE I LOVED THE LORD, after all that He did for me, dying for me, giving me life!   I asked Him a few times, but He always took me to verses that said something, to the effect of, “I hate divorce”.  (Malachi 2:16)  It was tough, but I prayed and prayed for my husband for more than twenty years.  He finally accepted Christ (He was a tough nut to crack!), and now attends church regularly.  We have been married over forty years.  We went through the hard times and we are better off for it!  Would I have thought that in the middle of my trials?  Sometimes I did, availing myself of the promise:

“And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.”  Romans 8:28

IF YOU LOVE ME

The LORD loves us! He died for us!  But how do you know how much you love the LORD?  Would you die for Him as He did for you?  Will you live for Him?  

“If you love Me, keep My commandments.” 

John 14:15 (NKJV)

These are Yeshua’s [Jesus Christ] words the night before the Passover when He was crucified.  I usually read these chapters, John 14-17, when I am troubled.  I am troubled now with society which brings me to weep.  But these words bring me comfort, beginning with these words: “Let not your heart be troubled…”  (John 14:1)

They end with:

24 “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am… 25 O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. 26 And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”  John 17:24-26 (NKJV)

The Matthew Henry Commentary states:

17:24-26 Christ, as one with the Father, claimed on behalf of all that had been given to him, and should in due time believe on him, that they should be brought to heaven…. being joined to Him by one Spirit, they might be filled with all the fulness of God, and enjoy a blessedness of which we can form no right idea in our present state.

That will be glorious!

But it also states “the world has not known You”.   Only those who are born-again of the Spirit can experience heaven.  Heaven is NOT the place for those in the flesh with an unregenerate soul.  One must believe in Christ and repent. 

There is Nothing New under the Sun  

(Ecclesiastes 1:9)

Since satan stepped into the earth, there has always been evil, for he himself is evil. He hasn’t changed his tactics.  He is the Father of lies.  He lies about God’s love for us and says that we will find happiness in his lies:  adultery, sexual perversion, witchcraft, and idolatry. Such perverted actions have been going on for centuries, but the common people and some of our Godly leaders in America have held them in check, knowing that these atrocities were wicked.   But now we air our dirty laundry and pretend that it is clean.  It is a lie! But Christians have the Word of God!  

In America, there was a Great Awakening (roughly 1730’s -1740’s) and a Second Great Awakening (roughly 1790 – early 1800s).  People prayed earnestly for the D-Day attack that was launched during WWII, so much that stores were closed down.  We’ve had numerous revivals, including the Jesus Movement in the 1960-70’s.   

Satan is desperate because He knows the LORD will soon return with God’s promise to Israel, bringing the Jews home and reforming a nation seventy years ago.   But first there will be an the great apostasy.

“1 Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to Him, … 3Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.” (2 Thessalonians 2) (See The Coming of the LORD)

I believe we are in the middle of that apostasy NOW.  The youth of our nation is spurred on by a godless media, demonic music, and the politically correct.  It seems nobody wants to offend. 

But Yeshua said, 

“And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”

Luke 7:23 (NKJV)

Yeshua is holy and righteous!  Will we not stand with Him confronting unrighteousness?

Are you offended that Yeshua said:

“Go and sin no more”  

John 8:11 (NKJV)

Prostitution was a sin when Jesus spoke this and it still is a sin.  The actions with the prostitute are also blatantly sinful.  

Fornication, whether heter- or homo-,  is sinful.   

Harming children is wrong, either heter- or homo-.   

Abortion is evil, an offering to Baal!  (Jeremiah 19:5)

Witchcraft is evil.  (See PRAYER AGAINST WITCHCRAFT)  Halloween, with it’s vampires and witches, has become, some say, America’s favorite holiday!  There will be no witches or vampires in heaven!

FROM SIN TO INIQUITY

In America, as in many places of the world, sin has moved to iniquity!

We all sin.  So it says in Scripture.  But sin, “missing the mark” is anything that “falls short of the glory of God”.  We all slip up!  We all sin!  But that is sin, not iniquity.

But unrepentant sin may lead to iniquity, doing something over and over with pre-meditation.  God forgives sin AND iniquity, if one is repentant.  That means you turn to God, and try not to do it anymore!  With His help, you can!  

The Fruit or Bad Fruit

Galatians is known for the fruit of the Spirit:  love, joy, peace….  But before that it lists the “works of the flesh”.

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21)

You cannot “inherit the Kingdom of God” if you are consumed with iniquity!  Repent and come to Jesus Christ, Yeshua, the Savior of our souls. 

Will you be “politically correct” or do it God’s way!  God’s way will be the only way, in the ultimate end!  And we, who are of the Spirit of God, will be happy to do so!  Because THE SAINTS LOVE THE LORD!

PRAYER:

“O righteous Father! The world has not known You …”  We are torn away by this carnal nature of ours.  Abba Father, lead people away from iniquity!  Let them hear your Holy Spirit whispering in the night because truly they are in darkness!   Let your Spirit of Truth pierce their souls!  These lost people, for whom You paid the price for their sins and iniquities, are led by false prophets to all kinds of wickedness.  May they come to repentance!   Deliver us from evil.  And please don’t let them harm the precious little children. We pray for a Third Awakening in America, and across the globe.  We pray for the lost to come in repentance before a Holy God and give their lives wholly to the LORD!   In Yeshua’s mighty name.  Amen.
