So be it, so be it.
It is so, it is so.
These are different ways of saying the same thing! Our LORD Jesus Christ employs this double wording on emphasized points. It is only seen in the Gospel of John (NT). And the Gospel of John has a lot of deep truths in it! Amen to that!
Above is the Hebrew “Amen”, read right to left.
“Amen” is basically pronounced the same way in many languages. Some say, the long “a” and some say the short “a”, but Christians recognize the word.
Literally, in Isaiah 65:16, the LORD is called the “God of Amen.” The King James Version calls it the “God of truth” for He is the God of all truth and that is also what Amen means: truth!
When I was not converted in my mind, I prayed that I just wanted to know the truth! And then soon afterwards the LORD revealed to me Jesus who is “the Way, the Truth, and the Life”! (John 14:6)
The LORD says, “Amen! Amen!” or “Truth! Truth!” to these important doctrines in the Gospel of John:
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (3:3)
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (3:5)
Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that hears my word, and believes on Him that sent Me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (5:24)
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. (5:25)
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on Me has everlasting life. (6:47)
Now the Son of God, Yeshua Ha’Mashiach, says these things to you in His written Word so that you would believe and be saved and have eternal life. You may surely believe Him for He is Emmanuel, God with us!
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM. (8:58)
