Understanding Revelation
The Book of Revelation is filled with symbols, visions, judgments, warnings, and promises. But how do all of these visions fit together?
This site explores the possibility that John was shown seven major visions, each presenting the great events of the end from a different perspective.
If you are new to this study, I recommend beginning here:
1. The Seven Visions of Revelation
Start with the central study that explains the structure of Revelation and the possibility of recapitulation—that later visions may revisit events already shown, giving us another perspective and additional details.

2. Matthew 24 & the Seven Seals
Jesus’ Olivet Discourse provides an important parallel to the opening judgments of Revelation.

3. The Earthquakes of Revelation
Earthquakes appear repeatedly throughout Revelation. Could their repetition help us understand the relationship between the visions?

4. The Great Harlot & Babylon
Who is Babylon? What does the imagery of the Great Harlot mean, and how does her judgment fit into John’s visions?
Study: The Great Harlot
5. Where the Study Leads
From the seals and trumpets to the bowls, Babylon, the return of Christ, the Millennium, and the New Jerusalem, the goal is to follow John’s words carefully and let Scripture help interpret Scripture.

A Note About Interpretation
Throughout these studies, I try to distinguish between what the biblical text says and how I understand what the text means.
You may come to different conclusions. My hope is that these studies will encourage you to search the Scriptures for yourself. Amen!
