“Sanctify them in the truth; Your Word is truth.”
How does the Church decide if a matter is TRUE?
It is not by “science”. Although true science lines up with the Word of God.
It is not by famous theologians. They guide us, but some of their teaching may possibly be incorrect, if not founded on a correct interpretation of the Word.
It is not by the doctrinal teachings of a denomination. Some heresies have been started by a denomination.
It is not by cultural norms. Nowadays, there are things that are quite sinful that are “acceptable” in the Church!
It is not by experience. Though many experiences do line up with the Word of God. We should check the Scriptures on the matter.
We, Christians, determine what is TRUE by the Word of God.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 16-17
Notice the “complete, equipped for every good work.” Will we be “complete, equipped for every good work” if we don’t have gold dust falling on us?
Preach the Word!
So, having NOT read anything about this in the Holy Scriptures, I DO REJECT the “gold”, the “glitter”, and “gemstones” “from heaven” appearing in churches as being COUNTERFEIT. Did Christ, whom we are to follow, have “glitter” falling around Him? Did the Apostles have “glitter”? God can do anything, but He gave us guidelines as to how to conduct spiritual services so we don’t fall into error.
I mean no harm to anyone by this, especially those I love and who love me. We are all subject to deception, especially in these last, last days!
Possibly, it may be a chemical reaction in the natural realm or just plain demonic.
“For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, IF POSSIBLE, EVEN THE ELECT.” Matthew 24:24
