NAMES OF OUR SAVIOR
“For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” (Revelation 19:10c)
Who is, Who was, and Who is to come reveals His eternal existence.
(1:4; 1:8; 4:8; 11:17)
Faithful Witness and Faithful & True Witness and Faithful & True reveal that He is One on Whom we can depend. (1:5; 3:14; 19:11)
Firstborn from the dead reveals that He conquered death! (1:5)
Ruler of the kings of the earth reveals His omnipotence. (1:5)
Alpha & Omega, Beginning & the End, the First & the Last and the Beginning of the creation of God reveal again Him as Creator and Sustainer. (1:8; 1:17; 2:8; 3:14; 21:5; 22:13)
Lord (1:8), the Almighty (1:8), God (19:4,5; 21:7), and Lord God Almighty (4:8; 11:17; 15:3; 19:6; 21:22) reveal His deity.
Living One reveals Him Who has “the power of an endless life.” (1:18) (Hebrews 7:16)
Amen reveals the surety and authority of His Word. (3:14)
The Root of David and the Root & Offspring of David reveal that He is both the source and the promised Seed of David. (5:5; 22:16)
The Lion of Judah reveals His victorious power. (5:5)
The Lamb reveals Him as our sacrificed Redeemer. (5:8; 5:12,13; 6:1; 12:11; 14:1; 15:3; 19:7; 21:23)
The male Child (12:5,13) and the Son of Man (1:13; 14:14) reveal him as “the seed of the woman” who would was “made in the likeness of man” to be our Messiah.
The Christ reveals Him as the Anointed One of God. (12:10)
King of the saints (15:3) and Lord of lords & King of kings (17:14) reveal His supremacy and absolute sovereignty.
The Word of God reveals Him as the Divine Expression of God. (19:13)
The Bright & Morning Star reveals that He is our Hope for a bright, new day! (22:16)
